Dear Senator Sessions:

Your conduct during Sonia Sotomayor's hearings completely appalled me. Racism is still epidemic in this country and your transparently bigoted behavior toward a distinguished and brilliant legal scholar exemplifies it. I will be writing Senators Bayh and Lugar regarding my displeasure. Perhaps you will do all Americans a favor and stay home for a good old-fashioned cross burning instead of running for re-election again.

You have expressed your doubts that Judge Sotomayor can move past her prejudices as a Hispanic woman. You have decisively proven that you are unable to get past your own prejudices as a Southern white man. I did not expect you to vote for her, but your feeble play at pretending to think it over nauseated me. I suggest you save us all some time in the future and just post on your website that minorities and women need not apply. Judge Sotomayor deserves major credit for not losing her temper and hitting you in the face with her legal pad.

Regards,
Paj Mahal

Note: I actually sent him this message.
